Another successful Indigo event – this time for Veganuary

Oh, what a great success our Veganuary event was! All of us at Indigo would like to say a huge Thank you to everyone who attended!

In case you missed our Veganuary month on our Facebook and Twitter, we have been celebrating all things Vegan throughout the month of January. Veganuary is a charity that aims to change popular opinion on what it means to follow a vegan lifestyle. Veganuary promotes changing your diet for a whole month in January to see the difference it makes in yourself and improve the impact that non-vegans have on the planet.

Carys Bennett from the Leicestershire Vegetarian and Vegan Group spoke about her passion for animals and veganism. She also spoke about how her own life experiences had led her to follow a vegan diet and lifestyle.

The room was filled with positive vibes throughout the event, with everyone mingling and sharing new ideas. During the event we served samples of our vegan dishes to our guest which included Dahl, Chilli Chips, Bhajia, Spring Rolls and Samosas. All our guests enjoyed the tasty dishes, with some even making their way to the restaurant to enjoy a full meal after the event.

We caught one group of guests giggling away about the edible vegan spoons that our samples were served on, they’d never been able to eat their own cutlery before.

Everyone who attended our Veganuary event received a discount card entitling them to a free starter when they order a main course – so we look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Overall the event was very well received and we are so thankful to all that attended and showed their support for Veganuary, Indigo Restaurant and Leicestershire Vegetarian and Vegan Group!
